Wimbles and Wembles… 🖤🧡🖤

Wimbles on the zigzag mat was the girl nabbed under a pallet. 👍

And Wembles is the boy on the star mat, who co-operated by going into a trap. 👌

The first sighting of this litter was 5 little black heads, all in a row, peering out from between layers of construction material. 🥹

In the week before we arrived, a couple of the siblings very suddenly passed away. 😪

It was sad news…

Though not unusual for litters born on the street.

Then we met Wombles, Wimbles and Wembles. 💞

Three ultra sweet kittens with the odds stacked against them.

Unfortunately, Wombles had also suddenly become very ill like her siblings.

Whilst intensive care helped her to feel comfortable, and even playful, she was declining very rapidly with a variety of health issues.

Barely one day after we met Wombles…

we had to say goodbye.

And it was hard. 💔

We packed (almost) a lifetime of love and care into her last day.

And she was amazingly happy and contented, enjoying all that we could give her… 😽

Proving once again that quality of life is a beautiful thing.

Wimbles and Wembles are doing well so far.

Though not completely healthy yet, they have great appetites and impressive litter trays. âœ

We hope with all our hearts that Wimbles and Wembles are strong enough to live long lives.

But for now, we’re content to make each day the best it can be. 🖤❣️🖤
