Here are some pics of one of Lunar’s medicated washes.
You may remember Lunar from earlier this year. ð¤
Trapped by caring community members in the wheatbelt town of Kulin, this stray, feral kitten quickly began to adjust to human contact.
ð©µð¤ð©µ
And show us his sweet ‘void kitty’ character. ð¤
Then he (unfortunately) caught ðworm ð®âð¨
(the ‘worm’ that’s not a worm at all lol).
So quarantine in our ‘Fungus Factory’ shed was necessary.
But fast forward and Lunar has recently rejoined his pals, Brigitte and Garrett, in our bathroom. ð
Although his (very thick n soft) coat hasn’t completely grown back in yet, he isn’t glowing green under a Wood’s Lamp anymore.
Which is a good sign. ð
Some cats do take longer to recover from a fungal infection.
And because Lunar is FIV+, he is proving to be one of those cats that has needed just a little longer than the average. ð¤
That’s OK Lunar. I need a little longer than the average in many things too hon.
Brigitte and Garrett are helping shy, gentle Lunar to find his (confidence) feet.
Especially Brigitte.
She’s a brave little bundle of tux-ness that girl! ð

A helpful tip I’ve learned during fostering…
My eyes aren’t as sharp as they once were. ð
So I find that by taking a video of my interactions with a cat, I can replay it later, pause, zoom in etc and spot things I may not be able to otherwise.
Like the fact that Lunar had some ear wax discharge in his left ear during the bath.
Something for me to keep an eye on. ð
