Tegan came into care as a spicy kitten and has been with us ever since.
There isn’t a lot of interest in cats like her. ð
So she and her pal, Tash, have grown up in foster care.
And with the new kitten season now underway, she and many like her will probably be fosters until at least next year… ðï¸
This is the reality of rescue nowadays.
Cats and kittens come into care, but there are no guarantees when, or even if, they will be adopted.
Especially the ‘funky monkeys’ we take onboard.
Those with health or behavioural issues that many people see as too challenging to cope with. ð«£
Sadly, if foster cats can’t find homes, that means foster carers must shut their doors to new intake.
The delicate rescue chain is currently being stretched to breaking point across WA. ð®âð¨
