Barn cat, Ned, keeping us company. âºï¸
And helping us share this PSA…
ð
We recently had a scare in the outdoor cat enclosure.
Came home to find *half* a Western Brown snake. ð³
The end half to be precise. ð¬
Gwardar’s are beautiful… but poisonous!
And thankfully the cats weren’t bitten.
We had secured our cat enclosure to keep cats in and birds out…
But we didn’t expect a snake to get in.
Yikes! ðµâð« We’ve hardly ever seen one here.
It was probably just passing through.
Environment enrichment is great for cats…
But snakes sure aren’t.
And cats aren’t good for snakes either. ð¥
So now we’re working on more ways to discourage snakes from our property and ensure they can’t access the cat enclosure. â
#PleaseShare this story with anyone who has an outdoor enclosure!
Let’s keep cats and snakes away from each other this summer. ð
