Noirette news… ð¤â¡
A fairly standard vet run…
Toms, queens, kittens and sickies, all in need of attention at Forrestdale Veterinary Hospital â¤ï¸âð©¹
But wait… âï¸
AFF foster Noirette tagged along this week for her spay.
We routinely snap test for FIV and FeLV also.
And to our shockâ¡she tested positive for FeLV! ð±
Feline Leukaemia Virus
It’s been a LONG time since we had a Kulin
cat test positive for FeLV.
A few years ago it was way too common,
but reducing the stray cat population has also reduced the contagious diseases.
What now?!? ð¬
Well, there IS a chance the test showed a false positive. It happens.
So we’ve requested a PCR.
A blood test to find out if she really is positive.
It’s going to make the usual vet costs higher of course.
Twice the price in fact ð¦
So instead of 200, we need to raise $400 for Noirette’s vet fees.
Holy black cat! ð
That’s a heck of a lot of dough!
#PleaseShare and #Fundraise ð
Noirette is counting on us to get to the bottom of this!
