I actually love furry little rodents but unfortunately we can’t allow them to breed out of control on our property. 😬

So Ned works hard (can you see him working hard lol?) at convincing them to live elsewhere. Like the hay shed.

He was rummaging around on the wet ground near the barn. 🐾

When Ned first came into our care from Toodyay, WA, he was as feral as they come!

He would actively stalk and attack us! 🚨

Colin ended up at the GP clinic after Ned attacked and bit his leg. 🫨

I had to wear protective shielding on my arms and legs to work with him.

And one day he pounced on and bit my head while I was napping, as he wanted attention. 🤦

It wasn’t too hard, but I wasn’t impressed all the same. 🤨

Fast forward a few months and Ned finally understood the rules of what is and what isn’t acceptable behaviour.

He still doesn’t get on with other cats.

And will swipe at a dog if he feels so inclined.

But he’s all about the smoochies now. 🥰

Who would have thought a couple of years ago no-one could get near him without being injured?

#FeralisaFeeling and a learned behaviour.

And Ned is now #FeelingFriendly

(Though I don’t recommend anyone try to break into our barn lol).

They may discover Ned’s unique qualifications for the role of #GuardCat 😆
