Wednesday’s vet trip continued… 👩‍⚕️

Sugar, the sweetest little fluffy tabby and white mumma, struggled in the heat on Wednesday.

And we couldn’t even turn on a fan for her. 🥺

So frozen water bottles and cooling mats helped to keep her somewhat comfortable.

She also enjoyed the car’s air conditioning… ❄️

And Heartlands Veterinary Hospitals was wonderfully cool when we arrived in the late afternoon. 🤗

Sugar was given antibiotics for her mild cat flu symptoms and checked out via ultrasound.

No issues were found and she’s doing much better now that the weather is cooler! 😽

Paprika the torti was also at the vet…

For an FIV/FeLV test.

(Her second one, the first being when she had her spay surgery as a kitten).

And she’s negative again for both viruses!!

🎉🤩🎉

This was *extremely* welcome news for us!

As Paprika was brought into care as an older kitten with the dilute torties, Cinnamon and Nutmeg, who both tested positive for FIV and FeLV. 😔

Feline AIDS and Feline Leukaemia.

Nutmeg unfortunately was pts due to kidney failure a few months after coming into care.

But Cinnamon is going well for now and enjoying every day. 😻

If you’ve been following for awhile, you may remember that Paprika was an extremely spicy lass in early 2023.

All spice and no nice in fact. 😬

I described her as an “off the charts crazy spitfire”.

Fast forward and she’s handed in her Feral Card, becoming quite the people-social butterfly. 🦋
