This cat is a BARREL! ð

Smilie came into our care from SCAN a few years ago.

He’s old, he’s FIV and he’s gorgeous! ð¤

A hefty tank of a cat, built like a brick ð© house (as Colin would say lol).

I think he was named ‘Smilie’ because, in the beginning, he was anything BUT.

In fact, he was ultra grumpy and felt really feral.

But those days are long gone. Smilie enjoys a gentle smooch session now.

Though he’s still an independent lad and not the ‘carry n cuddle’ variety.

Despite his age and FIV, he’s doing well so far. Such a soft coat these days!

He had a few mild sniffles as the weather changed a couple of weeks ago, but it didn’t develop further (though we ALWAYS take note, keep tabs and seek veterinary assistance).

Smilie is still enjoying his retirement years, eating more than he really should ð¤« and napping in the sunny spots. ð

He’s not really what anyone would call ‘highly adoptable’.

Rather funky in fact. ð

But that’s OK around here. We love the funky ones extra! ð
