OK, so this is Lucky. And weird. 😳

We know Lucky likes to lick heads.

We also know he’s a bit of an angsty dude.

He’ll give a hiss and take a swipe if someone annoys him.

Especially Yennefer (the dog) as her spacial awareness is abysmal. ðŸ˜

Last month we introduced Dorian, the lad from the streets of Kulin who was living rough and doing it tough.

Here is our grey #FosterFriend getting his daily dose of eye ointment when he first arrived in our care. 🩶

Veterinary prescribed medication, regular food, a little LOVE and a lot of LUCK have kept his eye from deteriorating further. 🤞

But in order to live his best life, he really needs enucleation surgery to remove the damaged eye.

This is where #CommunitySupport for the #CatsoftheWheatbelt becomes essential. 🙋

We need people to raise their hands and pave the way for Dorian’s treatment.

Poor Sebastian has very bad #gingivitis. 🚨

It’s a painful condition that makes his gums *extremely* red and swollen. 😬

He had a hard start to life, including gastro and flu ailments (a weak immune system is common for kittens born on the streets). ❤️‍🩹

But the gingivitis is the hardest problem he’s faced yet.

It’s tricky to treat and long term management is costly.

It involves medications, regular #vet cleanings and daily dental attention. 🪥

Plus possibly an #FME (full mouth extraction).

That means all teeth removed, which is expensive.

The only other option for Sebastian is, unfortunately, euthanasia. This is his reality. 😢

What can we do?

Well, not much on our own tbh. 🤷

We really need #CommunitySupport in order to give Sebastian a fighting chance.

He’s responded fairly well to medications so far. 🤞

But we’ve got a long road ahead of us.

Diaper Diaries continued…

Doesn’t Fred look spiffy in his Rabbitgoo harness? 👏

Attaching the diaper suspenders to this style of #harness works better.

The harness doesn’t pull on his neck and it stays in place. 👌

Whenever we make a change, it takes Fred a little time to adjust and work out how to use his legs again. 🤭

That’s because he has a #neurologicaldisorder

So I sit with him and wait until he’s ready to give walking a go.

And then, with some wobbles and slides, he gets his legs into gear and he’s off and racing… 💨💨

Without the puddle of pee squirting out behind him! 😂

Gully has #FeLV, so he missed out on being adopted as a kitten.

But we’ve given him a home and he’s living his best life with his FeLV mates, Cinnamon and Lightbulb. 🧡
