Well folks, Mumma Ginger won that round. 😮‍💨

Despite our best efforts, she kept herself and her 5 semi-social teen kittens under the house and out of the traps.

At one point, she even turned on quite the feral performance… 😬

Thankfully our resident volunteer wasn’t injured. 🫨

But it was a close encounter with a mad mumma defending her (almost) adult babies!

We are patient and persistent though.

And have left a ‘propped up’ Drop Trap behind for the cats to be fed under.

This will (hopefully) set us up for success on the next round. 🤞

The trip wasn’t a total bust however, as we did trap a scruffy, hungry, stray Tomcat.

He wasn’t nearly as happy to see us as we were to see him! 😁

We also met Anzo and Myca, 2 stunning lil tabbies from a sheep station out of Kulin. 🤗

Huge thanks to Aykayla and her family for their amazing dedication to decreasing farm ferals…

In the humane way that actually works!

TNR and adoption is PROVEN to be the most effective population control method. âœ

Trying to simply eradicate all cats only increases the successful movement and breeding of the cats that are left. ❌

It’s a counter-productive strategy that actually ensures

the continuation of the population problem.
