Still very much a kitten at heart though.

Playful, cheeky and entertaining. 😍

Life is all about living at this age. 🎉

No time to take it slow…

If she’s awake, she’s into everything. 🎊

Including hands. 😬

So we’re learning that hands are for patting and toys are for playing. 👌

As she plays, I talk to her, letting her know what works for me and what doesn’t.

Then intoduce a toy for her to tackle… 👍

Because there’s no stopping ‘the tiger in the torti’.

But you can teach ‘the torti when to tiger’.

King of Floof, Zion, is not a fan of the human airlift.

(Being picked up lol). 🏋️

Which isn’t surprising for an adult rescue cat.

But it does make life easier if your cat lets you (or a vet) pick them up when required.

So I begin with small ‘lifts’ while he’s distracted. 👍

And accepting human hands all over aids in checking for injury, grooming, medicating and vet visits. 👌

Although a skittish kitty, he’s slowly getting the hang of the hand. 🖐️

Ready to flee in a microsecond, there are moments when I see him let his guard down.

His fight or flight switch is definitely set to flight. ✈️

But hopefully he’ll stop circling the runway and land soon. 🛩️
