He loves human company and enjoys some pats. 😽

But he’s also a funny chap, with a few quirks. 🤏

He can get overstimulated. âœ

He doesn’t share space well. âœ

He’s a little obsessed with food. âœ

And a clutz with his water bowl. 🙄

Plus he smacks Ned on the butt. 🤣

Not to mention the fact that he’s HUGE. 😲

And cross-eyed. Yes, all the time. âœ

Chantelle’s take on the big boy…

Lil Bear is the star of the show on

Black Cat Appreciation Day.

But Lycan has other ideas. 😼

Both these kitties are #foreverfosters due to their ongoing health issues. ❤️‍🩹

Lil Bear has chronic sinusitis because he had the flu when he was a kitten. 🥺

He nearly didn’t make it… 😳

But here we are nearly 3 years later. 🤩

He has scarring from an old ulcer on one eye, which doesn’t seem to effect his vision at all.

💥👁️💥

And a perpetually snotty nose 🤧, which doesn’t seem to effect his energy levels at all. ⚡🔋⚡

He’s strong 🏋️‍♂️ fast 🏃‍♂️ and acrobatic 🤸‍♂️

Plus FIV positive. âœ

He’s a funky black cat folks.

Doesn’t get better than that! 🥰

An update on Felix. 🤍🖤🤍

He’s been a busy boy! 😮‍💨

Brought into care at SCAN, transferred to us at AFF, visited the vet, came back missing some parts 😉 and now he’s learning to ‘house cat’. 😵‍💫

His head must be spinning! 🤪

I usually sing or play music to the foster cats when I’m working with them. 🎶

And since it’s never too early for Christmas carols 🤗, Felix was treated to one of my favourites.

Although his world has been turned upside down in the last couple of weeks, Felix has surprised me with his resilience and tender heart. 💝

“Yeh he’s gorgeous, has come such a long way.

He’s pretty friendly and likes a pat and is super cute.

Can be a lil bit timid at times.

But he enjoys a nice gentle, slow pat and likes sharing your space.

He’s pretty sweet. I like him lots, he’s a nice cat.

Originally from a small country town, he came into care pretty run down and ready to give up. 😓

He’s FIV+ and has a scarred eye like a pirate.

Bonus! 🤩

With a healthy love of *balanced* raw food, this boy is content by himself or with another placid cat. 🫶

Here’s what our volunteer, Chantelle, says about Mr Gin…

“Super friendly and affectionate… purrs the house down that cat!

Loves his pats… can still be a lil bit timid at times but in general he is one of the most lovely and affectionate cats I have met.

Love that guy.”

😱 When you find yourself rescuing a dog off a highway. 🚗🐕🚙

This lovely lad ran across Great Eastern Highway yesterday, narrowly missing being hit by the vehicle in front of us. 🫣

Hats off to Colin for expertly maneuvering our car to the sidewalk in time to invite him to join us. 👌

Btw… You never really know how big a dog is until he’s sitting on your lap! 😂

A quick phone call to find the nearest open vet, and we delivered him safe and sound to

@vetwest in Swan View. 👈

Shout out to the helpful staff who handled the situation like pros! 💯

Thankfully he had a microchip with up to date details ✅ and the owners collected him pronto.

Phew! ❣️

Stashed in the glove box for times like this, we were able to retrieve it in seconds and secure the lost doggo before anymore drama could unfold. 👏
