Beautiful #cowcat Arya 🤍🖤🤍

She’s a shy lass who has had her fair share of troubles in life.

A serious injury (that had healed up) before coming into care caused 2 hernias and a permanently altered gait. 🥺

The hernias were surgically repaired around the time of her spay.

She had an allergic reaction to the sutures both times, which caused some concern.

Her shortened back leg gait and

‘bunny hop’ run doesn’t stop her from jumping onto and off furniture though

(we eventually removed the ramp as she didn’t bother to use it).

Sometimes I see her white patches glowing as she slinks into the bedroom at night.

Not comfortable enough yet to stay for long, she does a circuit and exits as quietly as she entered. 🤫 ☺️

Friday found us transporting this 28 parrot to Heartlands Veterinary Hospitals in Toodyay, after we found him in a paddock…

Fiesty but unable to fly. 😮

Thank you to the WA vets who give medical aid to our injured wildlife! 🌟

And to Marsupial Mammas and Pappas Wildlife Care in Toodyay, who are caring for ‘Friday’ during his recovery. 🧡

We have been told he probably has a dislocated wing.

😬

Yikes! I’ve dislocated my shoulder 6 times, so I’m feeling extremely empathetic right now!

Rehabilitation will take some time, but Friday is in good hands. 🫶

We are always on the lookout for injured wildlife.

And we are so grateful that there are volunteers qualified to handle their care. 🙏
