Welp folks, we had Fox pegged as a boy…

But he’s a she. 🙀

And she’s not been well. 😟

Poor Fox(y) has been 🤮 and 💩… 😭

So we darted over to our veterinary pals at Heartlands Veterinary Hospitals York.

As you can see, Colin is happy to be there.

Foxy? Maybe not so much haha.

BUT, she behaved like a perfect angel! 😇

And we now know that she has FIV. ❤️‍🩹

Feline Immunodeficiency Virus.

Which means that her immune system won’t be quite as robust as the average cat.

However with a low stress lifestyle, high quality wet diet and regular veterinary check-ups, Foxy has a good chance of living a happy life! 😍

How did she get FIV? 🤔

Most likely from her mumma. 😪

But many adult cats become infected when they fight with and are bitten by an FIV cat. 😱

Which is why sterilsation and containment is SO SO SO very important! 💯

We’ll be watching Foxy closely over the next week to ensure she fully recovers. 🧐

And managing her home care (keeping her hydrated, offering appropriate plain food and giving her loads of love).

Sultan… A Class A cat! 👌

This feral lad from SCAN is a sight to behold.

Magnificent in every respect… 🥇

I’ve been on the lookout for the perfect

‘Void Cat’ to use as a drawing reference.

And I’ve found him! 💯

Meanwhile, Sultan has been quietly processing his new foster home.

Not a single hiss or spit…

He’s truly a perfect gentleman! 🎩

This is a cat who felt very feral when first trapped. 😾

And who is beginning to show us how he feels now.

His fur is thick and soft.

And his personality is calm and considerate. 🤗

It will be an honour to work with this amazing creature.

Whomever adopts Sultan will have a friend for life.

Yes, this cat used to feel feral. 😾

Fox is a stunning Kulin grey who has really blossomed in the last few months. 🌼

He’s grown up, bulked up and is developing into a confident and very playful chap. 🤩

For cats like Fox, learning that hands are for patting and toys are for playing can be challenging. 😬

But with consistent practise, he’s starting to get the hang of it.

A little lol. 🤏

It’s all a bit confusing for Fox initially.

Afterall, hands are sooo much more fun than toys!

😄

We begin our sessions with playtime.

And end with smooch time.

Often with a meal in between.

Which follows a cat’s natural tendency to hunt, eat, groom, then rest. 👍

Finian needs a little help with his floof. 😹

This lad was scrawny, scruffy and hangry when we first met him. 😪

Another Kulin country stray, he needed a lot of food to pad out his large frame.

One of those cats that gets more hairy toward the rear end lol, he finds it difficult to properly groom his tail.

So it’s time for Fin to get acquainted with my favourite Cat Haven cat brush! 👍

He’s all in for the scalp massage. 👌

But not too keen on the rear wiper detailing. 😄

Black cat Belp. 🤩

This was supposed to be a Paprika post.

But then this happened. ☺️

So now it’s a Wembles post. 😃

The cardboard used to be a box, with cutouts and a door and all. 🤔

Now it’s flat as a tack and Wembles is proud of his achievement. 😻

He has such a happy, outgoing personality with a dash of the ridiculous. 🤭

Already confident around us, and very into the smooches, Wembles is ready for a larger crate already.
