The Vet with a View. 😍

Teddy Bear developed a cough due to his flu, so we took a little trip to Heartlands Veterinary Hospitals in York for a check-up.

This was probably the first vet appointment that T-Bear had ever had in his life! 😲

And, as usual, we all had a wonderful experience. 🌟

Heartlands is to be commended for their professionalism and expertise! 💯

There is always a calm, relaxing environment and the utmost respect for both animals and guardians.

T-Bear is estimated to be around 12 years of age.

He is *amazingly* negative for both FIV and FeLV.

🥳

And his blood test results showed that he currently has no obvious underlying health issues within the parameters tested. 🤩

That means that organs like his kidneys, liver and heart are doing very well, especially considering his advanced age! 👏

Needless to say, we were overjoyed to receive this welcome news! 🤗

T-Bear is on a course of antibiotics to assist in clearing up his cough.

And has begun to eat independently again. 🎉

Way to go buddy!! 👍

I met the slob-orious (that’s slob glorious btw lol) ‘Gorilla’ at The Treat Truck last week! 😊

Thank you Woof meow tweet squeak for the tempting and healthy dog treats on offer. 👌

I chose dried fish skin (and was lucky to get the *biggest* one available!) 😲

Teddy Bear has been feeling a little under the weather.

His appetite left when the sneezes arrived. 🤧

Cats often aren’t interested in eating when they can’t smell their food. 😿

So we stepped in immediately and gave the

Subcutaneous fluids injected under his skin.

And cat soup syringed into his mouth.

T-Bear has been a wonderful patient! 💯

He still gives me ‘the look’. 😳

And is always sitting where I need to be. 🙃

Cats do not have a high thirst drive, often drinking when they are already dehydrated.

Constant dehydration puts a huge strain on the kidneys. 🫘

Which is part of the reason why so many cats end up with kidney disease. 😓

But wet food donations for rescue cats can be hard to come by.

There are always more cats than cans! 🙀

Which is why Colin and I were overjoyed to pick up this bundle on Friday. 👌

More Friday kitten transport… 🚕💨

Four babies were recently accidentally separated from their feral farm mumma.

Dedication from the Kulin property owners and local friends meant that these ultra sweet cat-lings were cared for and driven all the way to Perth!

Community caring for cats! 👏

Well done Kulin!

We had the delightful job of transporting the babies to a health check-up. 👩‍⚕️

And they are now in the home of a neonatal carer. 🍼

Thank you once again to @cathavenau for your timely and expert assistance! ðŸ

We are planning to liaise with the Kulin kitty-heroes to help trap and sterilise mumma. 🫶

Feral farm cats need to be sterilised just as much as our house cats do. ⬅️
