Pip the rescue pup 🤎🧡🤎

This lovely sweet lass has quite the story…

Surviving being hit by a car and on the run for a week. 😱

Yesterday she was spayed by the fantastic team at Epsom Avenue Veterinary Clinic 👌

So we braved the storm ⚡ to pick up Pip (plus cats and kittens) from no less than four veterinary partners throughout Perth.

🚗💨💨

Trees across the roads 🌿 slowed our progress and a hailstorm 🌧️ stopped us in our tracks at one point. 😬

But by 8pm we had safely delivered Pip

(and cats) to their foster carers in Northam. Phew!

Pip was one very happy pup to be back home! 🐶

Wimbles is now a ONE EYED cat! 🙀

Remember the little black 🖤 kitten I had to hand catch in Kulin many months ago?

Well she had an unfortunate turn of events on Sunday.

A sudden conjunctivitis infection caused Wimbles to scratch her own eye! 😭

She began responding to treatment, but her eye was too damaged to save.

So the amazing team at Heartlands Veterinary Hospitals in York performed an enucleation on Monday.

Huge thank you and much respect to the vets who dedicate their time and expertise so that our fosters can be healthy and happy! 🫡

Wimbles is on her way home today… 🤗

I’m sure she misses her brother Wembles (who else could keep up with this

pocket rocket? 🤷)

But she’ll have to be content with ‘chatting’ through crate bars for now.

Wimbles is on strict ‘bed rest’ until her surgery site is healed. 🤫

Ned had a rather exciting weekend… 🙀

Although he wasn’t *too* sure how he felt about sharing HIS property with a new DOG. 🫣

Say what? 😲

Yep, we adopted a pound dog last week from

Celebrity Pets Rescue Charitable Trust in Malaga. 🤩

Quinn was one of the many, many Perth dogs desperately in need of a forever home.

And so we opened our hearts to him. 💕

Quinn isn’t too sure what to make of Ned.

And Ned isn’t too sure either haha. 😳

But with some slow and careful planning, these two unlikely lads are learning to go walkies with us. Together.

Of course, Ned’s idea of a walk usually involves a little tree climbing.

Especially when there’s a new dog on the block. 😄

Ned living his best life. 😎

I think of him as my #feraltofriendly poster boy.

He was so aggressive that I had to wear full protective gear to be in the same room. 😬

None of this hiding in a corner business lol.

Ned would consistently stalk me…

Trying to find an opening to attack.

We eventually came to an understanding.

And then we fell in love. 🤗

Ned does NOT do other cats though. ❌

And only JUST tolerates dogs who know their place.

So what to do with a foster cat like that?

Give them a job that suits their skill set. âœ

Ned is our pest control expert.

He patrols the barn and hay shed, keeping populations manageable.

He also LOVES spending supervised outdoor time with us!

Coming when called and keeping his paws off the wildlife. 👍

Which just goes to show that there’s a home that suits every cat.
