We’d like to say a big THANK YOU to Danielle, who donated a tray of Royal Canin Recovery tins to us awhile ago.

It was just what Fred needed to help get his system back on track! âœ

And encourage him to eat.

Of course, as soon as we crack open a Recovery tin, at least one cat is bound to dive right in lol.

Good one Mogwai. 😄 🤦

I started out hand feeding Fred with a small syringe.

(Quite the messy task lol).

And then he began eating independently again.

Always a promising sign. 👍

Hi Fred… 👋

The sweetest lad 🤗 is currently living in our studio office…

and loves munching on my fingers. ðŸ˜

Smoochy Fred was the runt of the litter.

His young mumma had difficulty birthing him and he needed help to breath. 🥺

Fred is somewhat funky.

He has neurological issues, causing weakness in his hind legs, an un-coordinated gait and urinary incontinence. ❤️‍🩹

At his vet appointment, we learned he has a UTI

(urinary tract infection).

And that his neurological issues may have been caused by genetics or an infection.

Poor little Fred! 😮‍💨

He doesn’t let his mobility differences slow him down much though.

This boy can MOVE!

He climbs, jumps, runs and skitters…

with some falls and flops here and there. 😜

The urinary incontinence is a more difficult issue. 😬

We’re waiting to see if the antibiotics fix ‘wee’ little Fred’s pee problems. 🤞

And we’re super grateful to Forrestdale Veterinary Hospital for helping us out with this special case! ✨🙏✨

This little tux (aka Boden) was one of

Mumma Ginger and Tuumi’s troupe.

When he and his 3 ginger siblings were weaned, they spent some of their time in a playpen on our kitchen table. ðŸ˜

You really don’t need a lot of space to foster kittens.

A secure and comfortable nook will do.

Boden is now living his best life. 🤩

Rather than struggling to survive as a stray.

And adding to the overpopulation of cats in rural towns.

All because we gave up our kitchen table for awhile. 🤷

Not much of a sacrifice when you know that #fosteringsaveslives

Haha, OK I had a little fun with these photos.

They crack me UP!

These girls are a rodent’s worst nightmare. 😱

I mean… LOOK at those faces!

Inside the house, they race from one end to the other, knocking over everything in their path. 🤦

Outside, they are in their element…

Plenty of sights to keep them entertained in the secure enclosure.

These girls would make perfect barn cats!

And can also be indoor / outdoor on a farm.

They don’t mind a few pats while eating, and sometimes will pester you for treats.

But other than that, these cats are independent, super active and have a high prey drive.

Tegan (torti) and Tash (black) are ready for adventure and the working life!

👨‍🌾 🚜

They’d also be happy being (non cuddly) house cats with access to plenty of toys and a large, secure enclosure.

You’d never be bored, I can guarantee that! ðŸ˜

We started the year with more kittens than we could juggle lol 🤹‍♂️.

And slowly but surely, they’ve been heading off for vet appointments and finding their forever families.
