Sebastian Update… 🧡😋

He takes his meds like a pro! 👌

Simply crush and mix with Royal Canin Recovery, and Sebastian does the rest.

Food is this lad’s love language!

Any and all food. Glorious food!

He’s put on weight and is happier.

The medication has reduced the intense inflammation and cleared up the infection, making Sebastian more comfortable.

But it’s only a stopgap measure.

This lad needs dental work next year. 🦷

Preferably earlier in the year rather than later.

FME’s (full mouth extractions) are a good treatment plan for stomatitis.

But they cost around $2,000, even with rescue discounts.

It’s a BIG surgery.

But many wallets make light work. 💁

Right?

Bob and his ears visit the vet… 👩‍⚕️

He’s been putting weight back on after having cat flu.

And his ears have been putting hair back on.

Always a bonus… Hair on your ears. ðŸ˜

Scratching at his face is now a thing of the past! 👍

Though he does have ears that are prone to getting ‘waxy’.

So they need regular cleaning otherwise mites, bacteria and yeast jump at the chance to live in his ear canals and cause a lot of issues! 😬

Bob’s story reminds us that cats are family,

not furniture.

And that no cat should ever be left behind when we move house! 😿

But moving forward, Bob’s future is bright.

He’s feeling great now and has people who care about him. 🫶

She was 311 grams 10 days ago.

Her neck injury has completely healed.

No such thing as ‘just a black cat’! 🖤

Goulie’s claim to fame includes…

* BIG paws and sharp claws ðŸ˜

* One of the FASTEST feral to friendly turnarounds we’ve seen! 👏

* The very LAST of the Kulin colony teens. 👌

Goulie gave us the ol’ ‘run around’ for the better part of a year.

She was eventually trapped…

But escaped after biting both Colin and her caretaker. Ouch! 😬

By this stage, she was the last colony cat left of the 2023/2024 season kittens.

And we weren’t about to let her continue the darn cycle.

So with persistence from everyone involved, Goulie was once again trapped.

And this time, she stayed trapped! âœ

We were expecting an uphill battle with her socialisation, but to our surprise (and thanks to her caretaker), Goulie handed in her

Feral Card right smartly.

She went from ferocious little Ghoul to friendly little Goulie 🤗

Still a tad unsure about all this human patting business lol…

But quite happy to learn.

And she LOVES lots of blankies and towels to roll around and around in!

Goulie and the four tabby teens (Destiny Hope, Shyla, Patme and Boofy Boo) are off on the next stage of their journey…

She had her vet appointment on Friday and was incredibly brave!

Thank you Heartlands Veterinary Hospitals for fitting us in and fixing her up. 🙏

She’s taking her medication like a champ and healing very quickly.

We suspect that she’s a little older than her teeny tiny size. 🤏

But a micro mug of Milo is just as sweet! 🤗

Right?

Milo’s (possible) siblings have now been found (well and healthy) and are being cared for.

They are all quite a bit larger than Milo…

but not quite as friendly.

And mumma cat?

Kitten care on the go… 💁

So little Milo arrived in our care on Thursday.

The same day we were due to take my mum to her dental and medical appointments.

😳

What to do with an injured kitten who needed feeding, monitoring and medicating whilst out and about? 🤔

The answer is a Kitten Handbag! 🤩

I bought this one second hand years ago when we first started to foster.

I haven’t had to use it often…

But when I need it, I *really* need it!

So off we went for the day, kitten tote in hand.

Milo got the care he required and my mum got to cuddle Milo! 🤗
