Patme and his sister, Shyla 😽

Siblings of Destiny Hope and Boofy Boo.

They are also recovering from #CatFlu

And learning to be ‘humaned’.

Patme was skittish at first, but then he threw his ‘feral card’ away and shouted ‘Pat ME!’ 😂

So pat him I did. 🤗 Naturally.

His sister remains the most shy of them all.

She is tiny. And hides behind her brother.

When I reach around Patme to pat her…

He pushes his way under my hand and demands that ALL pats be directed HIS way.

And I’ve been taking the opportunity to get to know them better.

Noirette and her ‘nick of time’ litter… 😍

She gave birth to 4 kittens, two nights after coming into care.

I’d say that was a pretty close call! 😬

It’s a LOT harder to scoop #kittens off the streets after they are born.

We usually have to wait until they start to show themselves.

As stray mummas are very good at hiding their babies.

And by the time they can toddle around after mum, they are already skittish and spicy. 🌶️

We’re working with Mumma Noirette to help her raise healthy and social kittens.

It’s a work in progress. ðŸ˜

(She chooses where the kittens are located and when we can touch them lol).

But Noirette is making progress every day. 👍

And she’s a very good mumma!!

We’re on our way to Cat Haven WA today with a few SAFE Avon Valley foster cats.

Checker will get his vet work done (sterilisation, vaccination, microchip and health check)… 👩‍⚕️

The very LAST #stray cat from the original colonies we have been helping to manage. 🤸

For 3 years now we have worked HARD to make this happen!

And I have to say, it feels SO good!! 😍

I’d do a cartwheel if I could… 😂

It was touch and go there for awhile.

We didn’t know if we’d be able to trap Noirette before she gave birth again.

Colin decided to try the drop trap…

And it worked! 👏

Hats off to Colin and his steady hand!

One more stray off the streets. âœ

One less litter becoming strays. âœ

And Noirette is headed for a better life…

By adoption through a registered rescue. 🖤

Chocolate Update… 🖤🤍🖤

* Only $16 left on the vet bill! * 😲

This little lass has overcome the odds stacked against her.

She’s now 6 days post op and her spay site is healing well. 👍

Pyometra can be a very dangerous condition.

Especially for a stray cat. 😬

But she got treatment just in time!

We transported her to another dedicated foster carer yesterday.

Chocolate now has a spare room all to herself to continue her recovery. ❤️‍🩹

She’s a shy lass and so went and hid in the smallest spot she could find lol 😶‍🌫️

But it’s been a challenging week, so we understand the need for a bit of peace and quiet.

Due to Chocolate’s uterine infection, her spay surgery was more expensive than usual.

And of the $272 it cost to give Chocolate a new life, there is ONLY $16 left to pay!

Loving Teddy Bear ✨🐻✨

This gorgeous older lad came into care at Street Cat Appeal Narrogin SCAN as an underweight stray with a leg injury, gastrointestinal issues and poor coat condition.

We’ve been caring for him now for around two years and in that time he has recovered from some upper respiratory and gut issues, grown a luxurious coat and become a #SuperSmooch!

Recently T-Bear visited the Student Vet Clinic at South Metropolitan TAFE for a dental clean, so now his teeth are as beautiful as his personality. 😻

And, as can be expected, the Cuddle Bear was a big hit with everyone who met him!

T-Bear now has a potential adoption home lined up, so we’re getting in as many #cuddles as we can before he goes to his #ForeverHome.
