Lunabelle joins her brother, Sebastian, in his meal crate sometimes, so they can wait for dinner together. 🤗

They are fed separately though, as Sebastian eats a little more slowly than Luney, due to his #gingivitis

Plus he has some meds mixed in to his food to help with the pain in his gums. ❤️‍🩹

Lunabelle also has gingivitis, though thankfully hers has improved over time.

She’ll still need a high quality diet, supplements and regular teeth cleaning for life though. 🪥

Kittens born on the streets often have a poor #immunesystem. 👎

The #colonies they come from are interbred, share diseases, live stressful lives and don’t have access to enough high quality food.

Doesn’t sound much like the good life does it?

Seby and Luney are both the result of a few #unsterilised pet cats that were abandoned. Left behind to breed into a large, sickly colony.

Here’s our shy little #GingerFoster kitten with #gingivitis in one of his favourite spots.

(The others are on the window pane when it’s sunny 🌤️and snuggled in bed with his sister, Lunabelle, when it’s chilly 🌥️).

He’s finished his course of veterinary prescribed medication now.

He is defiantly more comfortable, but we still have a way to go yet. 👈

Next step is to #RaiseFunds for a #DentalClean 🦷

And his #neuter surgery of course.

Remember that stormy weather we had? ⛈️

But vet transport happens in all weather. 🫣

Shout out to Forrestdale Veterinary Hospital for the donated cat carriers! 👏

Thankfully no cats were injured in the making of this video. 🥴 😉

These #SweetKittens won’t be making any babies this summer. 👍

That’s THOUSANDS #LessCats in #WA over the span on their (and their kitten’s) lifetimes.

And we transport HUNDREDS of cats to and from the vet each year.

Think about those numbers for a moment.

We’re completely stunned at how long and luxurious Dorian’s coat has grown this winter!

When he came into care from Kulin at the beginning of this year, we thought he was a domestic short hair. ðŸ˜

He had a surprise in store for us though, as his #floofy hair grew, grew and grew some more!

I actually love furry little rodents but unfortunately we can’t allow them to breed out of control on our property. 😬

So Ned works hard (can you see him working hard lol?) at convincing them to live elsewhere. Like the hay shed.

He was rummaging around on the wet ground near the barn. 🐾

When Ned first came into our care from Toodyay, WA, he was as feral as they come!

He would actively stalk and attack us! 🚨

Colin ended up at the GP clinic after Ned attacked and bit his leg. 🫨

I had to wear protective shielding on my arms and legs to work with him.

And one day he pounced on and bit my head while I was napping, as he wanted attention. 🤦

It wasn’t too hard, but I wasn’t impressed all the same. 🤨

Fast forward a few months and Ned finally understood the rules of what is and what isn’t acceptable behaviour.

He still doesn’t get on with other cats.

And will swipe at a dog if he feels so inclined.

But he’s all about the smoochies now. 🥰

Who would have thought a couple of years ago no-one could get near him without being injured?

#FeralisaFeeling and a learned behaviour.

And Ned is now #FeelingFriendly

(Though I don’t recommend anyone try to break into our barn lol).

They may discover Ned’s unique qualifications for the role of #GuardCat 😆

* LUNAR ❤️, a friendly and gentle young lad with FIV who is just looking for a little love and somewhere to spends his days.

* ZEUS 🤎, a sweet, quiet boy who is friends with all cats but finds the world a large and scary place.

(Long car rides especially make poor Zeus feel uneasy ☹️)

* MAEVE 🩷, a beautiful gem of a girl who has taken a couple of years to feel comfortable being close to people.

She loves peaceful days, dreamy window views and snuggles in warm blankets.

Sounds like the perfect life, right? 😍

Arya, the #CowCat potato bunny 🤪

Originally from Street Cat Appeal Narrogin SCAN this elusive lass takes #quirky to new levels.

* She’s a chunky, compact unit on stubby legs.

* She had not one but TWO hernias that needed repair.

* She is allergic to sutures 😬

* She walks by taking tiny but fast back leg steps 🤏 💨💨

* And kind of hops like a bunny when ‘running’. 🐇

It’s all possibly due to trauma from some type of accident when she was much younger.

Maybe from a car? Who knows. 🤷

She doesn’t let her mobility issues slow her down though.

Surprisingly agile, she can jump up onto furniture and down again. ↗️↘️

Arya isn’t into being patted, but she loves her food, gets on with cats, lives with rambunctious dogs and enjoys being independent.

Plus, she’s black and white, so, pretty much perfect! 🤍🖤🤍🖤
