More of Milo in the playpen…

Wednesday morning activities before his vet check-up on Wednesday afternoon.

Most of the video is sped up… 🏃💨💨

And looking at Milo’s slow speed of moving and processing during the week, it’s easier to see that he’s getting a little faster now.

Part of his slow speed is due to the accident.

And part is due to his difficulty in eating enough to maintain energy levels for growth, healing and exercise.

More on that to come.

The wand is a favourite with everyone.

And I should have expected the Tobynato.

Playtime in the playpen… 🤹

We’ve had this cat wand for awhile and (somehow) it’s managed to escape being chewed up by the dogs. 😄

Which is great as Milo loves it.

I limit it’s use as flashing lights can sometimes cause issues.

But it’s a gentle light and doesn’t seem to bother him. 🤷

He’s far more aware of stimuli in front of him than above him.

And still zones out at times. 😳

But it’s heartwarming to see him enjoying himself. 💖

We don’t know what the future holds yet, but moments like this are to be treasured.

PS – These collapsible playpens are great for kittens! 👌

Kittentine Love 🤗✨😽

January was a YEAR of a month! 🫣

And I didn’t have time to share this sweet little family that came from the same farm house as Roof Mumma and her litter.

This is Roof Mumma’s sister…

Verandah Mumma! ðŸ˜

Or Vera as I call her.

You guessed it, she and her 6 babies were living on the verandah.

And their new human guardian angels worked hard to gain their trust. 😇

Good thing they moved into the house when they did too!

Roof Mumma and Vera were extremely skinny, trying to keep up with the demands of hungry kittens. 😬

Young mummas haven’t even finished growing themselves when they first become pregnant.

And then it’s just one litter after another whilst struggling to survive. 😭

But ALL that has been turned around!

* Vera has now been sterilised and will be returning to her farm home.

* Two of her kittens (Tom and Jerry, how cute is that? 😘) have had their vet work done and been adopted with Vera.

* The remaining four in the litter are just the sweetest *Kittentines* (exhibit A in Colin’s arms 😍) and will be ready for forever love once sterilised.

This little lad has always had a LOT to say.

He’ll be attending the SAVA – Saving Avon Valley Animals Adoption Day on Saturday 15th at the PetO Store in Balcatta.

His brother, Dragonfly, has already found the home of his dreams.

His sister, Mayfly, is waiting in the wings for her chance at adoption.

But Saturday it will be Firefly’s turn to find his happily ever after. 🤩

A minute of Milo… 😽

I’m a little behind in my blogging folks!

I have some clips from the weekend and Wednesday still to share. 🫢

Don’t worry… I’ll catch up soon.

Milo is awake more often now.

I still spend a fair amount of time with him in the night, and he’s often sitting attentively, just listening and being aware.

Mornings and early evenings are when he is the most physically active though.

I’ve been using the playpen as he doesn’t stay where I put him now. ðŸ˜

A little update from today…

Milo needed help getting started with his morning pee again.

But he actually found the studio floor litter tray later on all by himself and used it for his daily poop. 👏

Good looking poop too lol. âœ

Milo Magic… 🪄

Sort of lol.

He seems a little magical at times. 🤏

But if there’s one thing I’ve learned through this rollercoaster ride it’s that we should NEVER underestimate a kitten’s ability to get into trouble! 🫣

ALWAYS assume that they will make what seems impossible a reality. 🫨

I’ve learned this personally myself, the hard way.

Meanwhile, Milo has been making noticeable steps towards recovery each day.

I’ve yet to edit and post yesterday’s activities.

And today we have the next vet check-up appointment. 👩‍⚕️

Little Milo has kept me busy, busy, BUSY since his electric recliner chair accident!

I haven’t had time to work, which means no time to earn money. 😬

So when I say that we APPRECIATE the funds we’ve received for Milo, I’m super serious!

And on that note, I’m excited to report that we’re actually a few dollars OVER our $202 target! 👏

I don’t publically thank people unless they comment they have donated, as privacy is very important to me.

Let’s check in with Milo… 😘

Between lots of 💤💤💤 he’s been sitting and walking, getting scritches, sharing his food with a friend 🤭…

And 🥁 he even peed IN the litter tray (I did NOT actually expect that or I wouldn’t have had it on the bed) ðŸ˜

He also had some gut trouble though. 😬

Bad diarrhoea unfortunately.

Maybe he ate too much at once?

Maybe too much diet change?

We don’t know.

But after a sleep and some gut rest, he was happy to begin eating again.

Though only small amounts at a time 🤏

Hopefully it was an isolated incident and he’ll be back to good poops soon.

Vet transport is always a thing… 🚗💨

Rain or shine, between work and caring for fosters, cats and kittens still need to get to and from the vet every week.

It’s a juggle for sure 🤹‍♀️

But one of the BEST times of year for finding a furbaby to adopt! 😍
